Jessica Crocker was reported as missing on February 23, as she had not been seen or heard from since January 1, 2021. Although it is not uncommon for her to leave town, it is unusual for so much time to pass without hearing from her. Crocker is described as: ·         Caucasian ·         Age 27 ·         Reddish-brown hair ·         Five feet, four inches in height ·         140 pounds ·         Medium build Anyone with information on Crocker’s whereabouts is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2021-4220.

Youth arrested following North Shore break and enter attempt

Kamloops RCMP Detachment Media ReleaseFebruary 24, 2021File number: 2021-5802 A suspect in an attempted residential break and enter was caught by Kamloops RCMP early Wednesday morning.  On February 24, at approximately 2:53 a.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers responded to a report of a break and enter attempt on the 1100-block of Bentley Place. A person allegedly climbed a garden trellis to access a second-storey deck, before they were noticed and chased off by the home’s resident. While police officers were patrolling the area, a civilian alerted them to a suspicious person who was running down a long driveway on Parkcrest Avenue. Until March 18, youngsters age four to 14 are encouraged to enter the RCMP’s ‘2021 Name the Puppy Contest’ to help find names for 13 new German Shepherd puppies – any one of which could end up in Kamloops some day. “It takes a really special dog to get through our program,” said Corporal Steve Prior, a Kamloops RCMP dog handler. Cpl. Prior has been paired with ‘Fargo’ for more than five years now and knows the difference police dogs make in the community and on the force. On February 19 around 3:20 p.m., Kamloops RCMP received a report of a suspicious person near a school on the 900-block of Southill Street. A student was walking home when she noticed a man who appeared to be following her. She returned to her school, running, and eventually lost sight of the man. Police vehicle struck; woman ticketed

Kamloops RCMP Detachment Media ReleaseFebruary 23, 2021File number: 2021-5379 A woman was investigated for offences including impaired driving after a police vehicle was struck this weekend. On February 19, around 6:55 p.m., a Kamloops RCMP vehicle was making an emergency U-turn with its lights activated when it was struck by an eastbound vehicle on the East Trans Canada Highway near Grand Boulevard. The officer inside the cruiser received minor injuries. The other vehicle drove away, leaving its driver’s side door embedded in the police vehicle’s front right bumper.  As part of their investigation, police located and arrested a woman. Police recover items stolen in smash-grab theft

Kamloops RCMP Media AdvisoryFebruary 19, 2021File number: 2021-5152 A shopping cart full of stolen merchandise was located by police following a report of a commercial alarm on Hillside Drive. Around 12:30 a.m., Kamloops RCMP attended a business on the 1300-block of Hillside Drive for a report of a glass-break and motion alarm activation.  On scene, frontline officers located a rock that had been used to break the front door glass. Surveillance revealed a man in black broke the glass, entered the store with a shopping cart, filled it up, and left. Kamloops RCMP’s Crime Reduction and Police Dog Service units assisted in looking for the suspect who was last reported heading northbound on Hillside Drive. Arrest warrant leads to seizure of drugs and weapons

On February 17, around 10:45 p.m., frontline officers located a man wanted on an endorsed warrant on the 1100-block of Columbia Street West. During a search that followed the arrest, police located more than 160 grams of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and other drugs, as well as thousands of dollars in cash, drug paraphernalia, and a collapsible baton.  All items were seized as part of an ongoing investigation. On February 13, around 8:20 p.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers were called to the 1000-block of Hilltop Drive, where an employee reported he was chased through a store by a woman with a hammer after she was confronted while attempting to steal hundreds of dollars of merchandise. The suspect also allegedly threatened to stab the employee. Windshield shot on Chetwynd Drive

Kamloops RCMP Media AdvisoryFebruary 18, 2021File number: 2021-5156 The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is investigating after a shots fired report led to the discovery of a damaged vehicle. On February 18, around 1 a.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers were called to the 300-block of Chetwynd Drive after two men were reported getting out of a small grey sedan and approaching a residential address. A gun shot was heard before they ran back to their car and sped away.  Police attended the address and located a white vehicle in its driveway that had been shot in the windshield. Officers spoke with the car’s owner, canvassed the area, and viewed surveillance. The investigation is ongoing.
