On Sept. 29, 2024, around 1 p.m., a Kamloops RCMP Detachment frontline officer was patrolling the area of McGowan Avenue and Aspen Street when he observed a man riding a bike without a helmet, while in possession of weapons. On Sunday Sept. 22, 2024, around 11:35 a.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers attended an address on the 200-block of Columbia Street in response to a suspicious activity report. On scene, police located a GMC Sierra pickup truck reported as stolen out of Barriere earlier that day. On Sept. 16, 2024, around 4:10 a.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers were called to an apartment building on the 400-block of Seymour Street, in response to the report.
