The Kamloops RCMP Detachment responded to approximately 402 calls for service from Friday May 2, 2025, to 9 a.m. on Monday May. 5. Below are some highlights from those reports.
Syringe scratch report
2025-13072
A woman was taken to hospital Friday afternoon when a needle was introduced into a consensual fight.
On May 2, 2025, around 12:20 p.m., Kamloops RCMP Detachment frontline officers were called to a parking lot on the 400-block of Tranquille Road, where two women had engaged in a fight and one ended up scratched in the neck by a syringe. The victim declined further police involvement.
Officers attended and patrolled the area, but a suspect was not located.
Assault investigation

Police were called to the 200-block of St. Paul Street Saturday night where a woman was present with what appeared to be stab wounds.
On May 2, 2025, just before 11 p.m., police received a report involving an injured person who had allegedly been assaulted with a weapon in an alley near the 500-block of Victoria Street. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers attended the location of the offence and collected evidence as part of their investigation.

2025-13258
An attempt to flee from police was unsuccessful for a motorcyclist this weekend.
On Saturday May 3, 2025, around 6:20 p.m., a police officer was patrolling downtown when he observed a motorcycle being driven without any license plates. The officer initiated a traffic stop and although the motorcyclist attempted to flee, he was unsuccessful and quickly arrested.
The rider was later released with a court date related to prohibited driving and obstruction offences, a vehicle impound notice, and violation tickets for no insurance and flight from police.
