Drug Enforcement Activity Leads To Arrests
On August 13, 2020 members of the Crime Reduction Unit conducted a traffic stop that resulted in an arrest and the seizure of a kilogram of cocaine. The male, a 49 year old resident of Cherry Creek, was released pending further investigation. On September 4, 2020 RCMP Kamloops Targeted Enforcement Unit and Crime Reduction Unit conducted several enforcement actions related to this investigation. First, a traffic stop was conducted with a 35 year old resident of Kamloops that led to an arrest and seizure of two kilograms of cocaine. A second 35 year old male was arrested in another traffic stop that led to the seizure of a significant amount of Canadian currency.
