Below are some highlights from those reports. Indecent act 2023-31703 A report of a man exposing himself in the park and behaving indecently led to an arrest Friday afternoon. On Sept. 1, 2023, around 1:30 p.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers attended Parkcrest Avenue and Singh Street in response to the report, where they located an intoxicated man inside the washroom, engaged in an indecent act, with the stall door open.  The man was arrested and lodged in cells until sober, then released pending the investigation’s conclusion. Below are some highlights from those reports. Officer injured by fleeing driver 2023-30973 An early morning traffic stop led to a suspect fleeing and a police officer being injured. On Sunday Aug. 27, 2023, around 3:30 a.m., a police officer stopped a black Chrysler 300 near Copperhead and Versatile Drive in Kamloops for no insurance. During the investigation, the driver was placed under arrest for obstruction, at which point she allegedly drove away, injuring the police officer in the process. Below are some highlights from those reports. Stolen vehicle recovered 2023-30039 A person was arrested after a proactive patrol led police to a stolen vehicle. On Aug. 20, 2023, around 12:15 p.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers observed a suspicious vehicle at the Halston Connector Road and Halston Avenue. Police checks confirmed the silver Kia had been reported stolen out of Alberta. Below are some highlights from those reports. Drugs seized, suspects arrested 2023-23257 A Kamloops man has a court date scheduled as part of a drug trafficking investigation. On July 1, 2023, around 12:50 a.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers were speaking with the occupants of a vehicle on the 600-block of Brentwood Avenue when they observed what appeared to be illegal drugs. A man and a woman in the vehicle were arrested. Approximately 300 grams of suspected drugs packaged in a manner consistent with drug trafficking were located and seized.
