The Kamloops RCMP Detachment responded to approximately 309 calls for service from Friday Dec. 13, to 9 a.m. on Monday Dec. 16, 2024. Below are some highlights from those reports.

Break and enter arrests

Two people were arrested during a break and enter in progress Friday evening.

On Dec. 13, 2024, around 8 p.m., Kamloops RCMP Detachment frontline officers were called to the 200-block of Alder Avenue for a report of two people actively breaking into a residential shed. With the assistance of the Police Dog Services, officers attended the area and took the suspects into custody.

They were later released with a court date and conditions. Charge recommendations are anticipated as part of the assessment process.

Xboxes, remote-control trucks stolen

Police are looking for information related to a residential break and enter on Berkley Street this weekend.

On Friday Dec. 13, 2024, a person left their home around 5:15 p.m., and returned less than an hour later to find Xbox consoles and remote-control trucks stolen from the residence.

Vehicle left running: stolen

The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is on the lookout for a Honda Accord stolen in Sahali this weekend.

On Dec. 13, 2024, around 7 p.m., a vehicle that was left running with the keys in its ignition, was stolen from a parking lot on the 1200-block of Summit Drive. The driver was away from the vehicle for approximately 15 minutes.

The vehicle is described as a 2010 gold Honda Accord, BC marker WE3 60E.
