TEU investigation leads to drug trafficking, possession charges

A drug-trafficking investigation from November has resulted in charges against two Kamloops men.

On November 9, 2020, members of the Kamloops RCMP Targeted Enforcement Unit (TEU) arrested two men as part of an ongoing drug investigation. The men were released with a court date, pending charge approval by the Public Prosecution Service of Canada, which was recently received.

Cody Lee Arthur Housego, 26, of Kamloops, is charged with one count of possessing methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Darcy Dean Anderson, 32, of Kamloops, faces four charges: two related to unlawfully possessing fentanyl and methamphetamine contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and two contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada for possessing instruments suitable for the purpose of breaking into a place or motor vehicle, and possessing an identity document related to another person, without a lawful excuse

Anderson’s next court appearance is scheduled for March 11; Housego’s for March 29, 2021.
