Police looking for suspect in bank robbery

The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect after a bank was robbed in Sahali this afternoon.

On February 16, around 2:35 p.m., Kamloops RCMP frontline officers responded to a robbery involving a firearm at a bank on the 1200-block of Summit Drive. According to the report, a man in his 40s or 50s, approached a teller, demanded money, and brandished a handgun. With money in his hands, the man fled westbound on foot.

Multiple officers responded to the area, including the Police Dog Services team, but a suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as:

  • male
  • fair skin
  • in his 40s or 50s
  • 5’10
  • 190 pounds

Clothing description:

  • black toque
  • three-quarter length faded, dark jacket
  • blue jeans
  • brown shoes
  • navy blue Covid mask
