Guns, drugs and money located in Kamloops police investigation

More than five kilograms of drugs and three firearms were seized after Kamloops RCMP officers executed three warrants in less than 24 hours.

On January 7, around 10:30 a.m., the Kamloops Targeted Enforcement Unit (TEU), with the assistance of the Southeast District Emergency Response Team (ERT), executed a search warrant at a west Valleyview residential unit as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

That search led investigators to two more locations. With the assistance of frontline officers, TEU was able to execute warrants at an address in Sun Rivers and a storage locker at the Tk’emlups Reserve. In total, more than five kilograms of cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl were seized, along with three firearms and a substantial amount of Canadian currency.

One man was arrested and later released without process as part of the ongoing investigation.
